An exceptional indication for bilateral thoracic paravertebral block performance in a pediatric patient

Ultrasound-guided paravertebral blocks and catheter replacement techniques have been used effectively for pain relief after thoracic, cardiac and abdominal surgeries in pediatric patients. In this case report, we discuss our experience of bilateral ultrasound-guided use of thoracic paravertebral blocks for postoperative analgesia in a pediatric patient who underwent left latissimus dorsi muscle transfer (free flap) surgery.

Pediatrik Hastada Farklı Bir Endikasyonla Bilateral Torasik Paravertebral Blok Uygulaması

Ultrason eşliğinde paravertebral blok ve kateter uygulama teknikleri pediatrik hastalarda torasik, kardiyak ve abdominal cerrahilerden sonra ağrı kontrolü için etkin olarak kullanılmaktadır. Biz bu olgu ile sol latissimus dorsi kas transfer (serbest flep) cerrahisi geçiren pediatrik hastadaki postoperatif analjezi için uygulanan bilateral ultrason eşliğinde torasik paravertebral blok uygulaması deneyimimizi tartıştık.
