Abstract

In this case, we present a 86 years-old patient with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease undergoing modified radical mastectomy with axillary dissection by thoracic paravertebral block (PVB). Use of thoracic PVB provided hemodynamic and respiratory stability, excellent unilateral anesthesia and high patient satisfaction.
